Regulus Childcare Services: Better Care, Better Children

At Regulus our mission is “To raise the standard of Childcare and Early Childhood Development in Trinidad and Tobago”. Founded in September 2005 by R. Jerriann Baker, or Auntie Jerri as she is fondly called, who observed that quality day care was lacking within Trinidad and Tobago and decided to introduce parents to a better standard of child care services that would accommodate their busy lives. At Daycare we are focused on providing Developmental Care rather than what we call “Storage Care”.

Our Daycare and Preschool work hand-in-hand so your child can continue their learning and development even while still mastering social and personal autonomy. At Preschool we pursue learning achievements that are appropriate for young children and that provide the foundation for successful future learning experiences as Regulus would have it.

Regulus Childcare Services was born out of the philosophy that better care fosters better children. Nursery and Pre-school motto: Better Care, Better Children.

Regulus Educational Academy: Balanced Education for Better Minds

Moving from child care to early childhood development is the next natural step in pursuit of our mission. 

Our Primary School is a continuance of the educational program to the end of having a well-rounded 21st Century Global Citizen. Our students view education as exciting and are not afraid to ask questions, discover and explore. Our students have the attention of their teacher because of the small class size. Our curriculum is delivered using teaching methods that stimulate whole-brain learning and development and technology to bring alive such subjects as Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths (STEAM). 

At Regulus we strive to develop a well-balanced curriculum across our learning dimensions of Academics; Character; Life & Social Skills; Sports & Fitness; and Music & Drama; while equipping students with the 21st Century Skills needed in order to succeed in the information age. Finally, we deliver our curriculum and develop these skills using the most modern and revolutionary teaching methods that are available for use in schools today. This is embodied on our primary school motto: Balanced Education for Better Minds.

Secondary School: Responsible Learners, Better Thinkers

Moving from childhood development to life-readiness is the final step in pursuit of our mission.

Life-long Learning is an essential quality of the modern economy and at Regulus STEAM Academy students build this character trait with the assistance of Learning Coaches. They develop and execute a plan to maximise their learning experiences along a path to academic success, while building critical 21st Century, Innovation and Life-readiness skills. With increased learning opportunities and a staggered exam schedule, students progress at a stress--free pace to future-proof their education and build modern thinking by taking ownership of their learning.
